Some people just aren’t fans of rugs. Other people probably feel that some rooms should need rugs over others. Or maybe you just love rugs and want one in every room. Wherever your preference may be, there’s a trend that we may all be able to agree on: Tile rugs!

Using a rug in a room helps to break up blank space on a floor, decorate the main living area, and give a room that pop of color that is pleasing to the eye. However, if you’re not up for the maintenance of rug and would rather stick the convenience of a quick broom sweep when cleaning, a tile rug may be exactly the decorative flooring trend you’ve been waiting for.

If you’re not familiar, a “tile rug” is a set portion of tiles or flooring, that is decorative yet still a cohesive part of the floor. It can be as small or as large as desired and can break up a larger room into smaller, cozier settings. Tile rugs can essentially be part of any floor that you desire to have a bold, singled-out space on the floor. They look great in bathrooms, entryways, sunrooms, living areas, kitchens and much more.

Tile rugs have become a popular DIY interior trend across the Internet. A quick search on Pinterest or even Instagram shows its popularity. Since installing tile is an easy task to do, it makes sense why people would be so into this trend. Though tile is really easy to clean, we’ll show you how to clean tile floors the best way.

Here are some examples, to get you inspired.
