Terms and Conditions and Privacy Statement

Hey, we love you guys. But because there is always someone who wants to ruin the party, we need to lay down a few ground rules. New stuff will be in bold so you don't have to read the whole thing to find an update.

Please be respectful. Comments that are abusive or contain excessive profanity will not be allowed. A give and take is fine, and we won't remove a post just because someone disagrees with you - or with us. But please, disagree or leave constructive comments in a civil manner. That's all we ask.

We reserve the option to screen all posts before making them "live" on the site. This is to cut down on spam and abuse.


4/2/2006: We have a new guestbook engine in place. This requires you to use a CAPTCHA. If you have problems using one due to a disability, please drop us a line at the e-mail address below. We'll be glad to post the message for you. We've had to do this to combat the amount of comment spam we get.

Now when you leave a URL it will be linked. Leaving a URL is entirely optional. However, if we see your URL goes to an inappropriate site we will not post the comment.
Comments will continue to be moderated. Sorry, but we need to work out the bugs in the new system.

2/12/06: If you get a message stating that you are unable to leave a comment or if the page blows up with an error then please contact us at the feedback address below so we can address the problem.

Privacy:

We collect your IP address when you send a comment. This will only be used in the event that we have to file an abuse report with your ISP. We will do this in the event of comment spam, but we won't file repots otherwise except in extreme cases.

Beyond IP addresses, we do not collect any other information than what you give us. Your name and URL (if you leave one) will be posted when your comment is posted. We are no longer collecting e-mail addresses. We will cooperate with law enforcement agencies when necessary, and this means we may have to turn your information over in the course of an investigation. Not that we ever expect this to happen, but we're just trying to cover our bases.

Submitting a comment constitutes permission to post. If you want to give private feedback, please use the feedback address below.

Abusive behavior:

This includes but is not limited to stalking, harassing, "trolling" and "flaming." Posts we deem abusive will be removed. If you have an argument with someone please take it elsewhere.

Linking and spamming:

You may list a site as a reference and you may link to your web site using the URL field. If in doubt, ask. The address is snark- at - housefans- dot- net. Replace the - at - with @ and the - dot - with a period. We do have a links page. If you have a web site that is related to the show or the cast, please drop us a line about inclusion.<

Spamming is NOT tolerated, and we will remove all spam as soon as it comes to our attention and file an abuse report with your ISP.  If you're unsure about what constitutes comment spam, see our handy guide.

We would like to keep this site ad free if at all possible. (This includes standard banner and text ads.)
